Apart from the obvious effects gambling can have on your financial situation, it can also have serious effects on your health. According to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, problem gamblers suffer more than others from low self-esteem, stress-related psychological problems, being afraid, loss of sleep and appetite, substance abuse and depression.
